The Great Indian Family Review: This family of Vicky Kaushal could not become ‘Great’, the overdose of drama is difficult to bear

The Great Indian Family Movie Review: Vicky Kaushal, who has done films like ‘Masaan’, ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’, is busy making films for the family audience these days. After ‘Govinda Naam Mera’ and ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’, Vicky is now seen in the film ‘The Great Indian Family’ which has been released in theaters today. Manushi Chhillar is Vicky’s heroine in this film of director Vijay Krishna Acharya and this is her another attempt to establish herself as an actress. This is Manushi’s second attempt to give a successful film in Yash Raj Production. Before this, she has also been launched with Akshay Kumar through ‘Samrat Prithviraj’. Let us tell you how much this story of Atrangi family and Bhajan Kumar has the potential to attract the audience to the theatres.

Story: The story of the film is of Ved Vyas Tripathi, who is known as Bhajan Kumar because of his bhajans. Bhajan Kumar’s father is Pandit Siya Ram Tripathi, who dominates the entire Balrampur. He is called in every religious function. But in front of him is another Pandit Mishra who hates Tripathi ji. Bhajan Kumar has a large family, whom he considers to be the snakes of his life. But suddenly a letter arrives and everything changes. Pandit ji’s son becomes a Muslim. But why does this happen, and how does Bhajan Kumar correct all these situations, this is what this film tells.

Hindi cinema has always been a place which follows the saying ‘religion does not teach to have hatred among each other’. Director Vijay Krishna Acharya’s story tries to show, develop and present this idea. Newton Baba has also been taken full support in this. But ‘The Great Indian Family’ proves to be a complete failure in this attempt. This story, filmed on a fake set in the name of Balrampur, also looks fake at many places. The dialogues that make a good story a good film are what this film lacks. This story seems to give knowledge, but even that does not reach properly.

In the year 2015, a film was released, whose name was ‘Dharma Sankat Mein’. The story of this film was about a man Dharampal who has been proudly considering himself a Hindu for years, but suddenly at a middle age he comes to know that he was born as a Muslim and was adopted by Hindu parents. Was. ‘The Great Indian Family’ is trying this plot with Vicky Kaushal. Whereas in ‘Dharma Sankat Mein’ veteran actors like Paresh Rawal, Naseeruddin Shah and Anu Kapoor were seen. ‘Dharma Sankat Mein’ beautifully depicts this theme and Paresh Rawal has depicted the mental conflict of such a person very beautifully. In ‘The Great Indian Family’ too, many actors including Kumud Mishra, Manoj Pahwa, Saadia Siddiqui have been completely ruined. You can guess from this that the family members of this film named ‘The Great Indian Family’ have been used only for casting votes in some scenes.

Social media influencer Srishti Dixit has also been seen in this film.

A large part of the first half of the film is spent in the introduction of the characters, which is done in the voice of Vicky. There is nothing new and different in the first half from what you have seen in the trailer. Whereas in the second half you do not understand why all this is happening. This film is only 1 hour 12 minutes long, but it seems difficult to spend even such a short time in the theatre. Talking about the music of the story, actor Vedant Sinha, who plays the childhood character of Vicky Kaushal, sings a bhajan in the film, apart from that, there is not a single song which can take the story forward.

acting Talking about it, as I have already said that many good actors were not used in the story. However, whatever role he got, he played it well. Vicky Kaushal made his mark in the industry with films like ‘Masaan’ and he is always known for his acting. Vicky is able to show his magic in emotional scenes, but he seems to be trying too hard in comedy scenes and the reason for this is very weak dialogues. The biggest betrayal in the film has happened with Manushi Chhillar, whose other films have also not been successful in giving her a good space or role. Jasmeet’s character has so few layers in this film that even if this character is removed from the film, it will not make any difference. She is in the film only for one dance number, one kissing scene and some close-ups. Although she looked quite confident on screen, there was nothing for her to do in this film.

Why should you watch: If you want to go out this weekend and the children have decided that they only want to watch a movie, then only go to watch this film. This film can be seen in the theater once.
